Patients will benefit from safer, better co-ordinated care as the One Person One Record clinical information system comes online at IWK Health on Saturday, December 6.

It will be implemented at Nova Scotia Health provincewide by the end of 2026.

Designed to securely collect, store and share health information, the system will eventually replace or connect many current systems healthcare professionals use daily to record and view patient information.

“One Person One Record is an important step to transform how our healthcare system communicates, shares information and delivers better care to Nova Scotians,” said Michelle Thompson, Minister of Health and Wellness. “It will improve care by enabling healthcare providers to co-ordinate care, access real-time information, reduce errors and save time by getting rid of outdated and duplicative processes.” READ MORE
