OPOR-CIS Implementation Schedule

The implementation of the CIS is happening in a phased approach across the province. This allows teams to provide additional time to support sites and zones following each implementation, simplify data migration of Nova Scotia Health systems and reduce interim workflows. 

OPOR-CIS timeline:

Wave One: IWK Health implemented the CIS on Saturday, December 6, 2025.  

Wave Two: Nova Scotia Health’s Central Zone implemented the CIS on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Wave Three: Nova Scotia Health’s Eastern, Northern and Western Zones will move forward with a single, consolidated implementation of the CIS on Saturday, November 14, 2026.
